SkyJuice recently participated in the Funds4Impact Forum in Cartagena, Colombia—an inspiring gathering of over 250 donors, funders, NGOs, and CSR leaders dedicated to advancing sustainable development across Latin America and the Caribbean. The event, expertly hosted by Karina Sandoval and her team, brought together some of the world’s most innovative and impactful social change organisations.
SkyJuice Founder and CEO Rhett Butler was honoured to deliver a Visionary Spotlight presentation, sharing insights into SkyJuice’s unique safe water delivery model and the urgent need for sustainable, low-cost water solutions for the world’s most vulnerable communities. His session highlighted SkyJuice’s scalable, passive membrane technology’s effectiveness and alignment with long-term humanitarian impact.
The forum featured valuable insights from donors and philanthropic partners, who shared practical lessons on building effective, long-term collaborations. A clear message emerged: funders prioritise transparency, measurable outcomes, and strategies that drive equitable and lasting community benefits. Sustainable impact, supported by strong local partnerships, was consistently highlighted as key to success.
SkyJuice also co-hosted a technical workshop with long-standing Colombian partner Smart Hydro, led by Lukas Socarrás, who has implemented over 800 safe water systems across Colombia over the past decade. Together, they introduced the rollout plan for Equal Access Colombia—a major initiative funded by the Zayed Sustainability Prize. The program will deliver clean, safe drinking water to schools, community hubs, and facilities supporting refugees and displaced communities in some of Colombia’s most vulnerable regions.
